We had a wonderful mid-year brunch for the Secret Sister Program at First Christian Church last Saturday, April 28th. The weather couldn't have been nicer, and a wonderful time was had by all.

The devotional given was
why God allows us to through trials and tribulations - what He is trying to show or teach us, and how, through the battering, wind-tossed turbulence of these trials, we emerge stronger and closer to God.

| Once a dead bush, this tree has been pruned back, cutting off the unproductive branches and it is once again bearing "fruit". In this case the 'fruit' is flower and vegetable seed packets with scripture relating to the devotional! Everyone went home with something 'picked' from the tree. |
